Opening hours

Good Friday and Easter Monday:  10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Tuesday to Sunday:   10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Every Thursday open in the evening till 9 p.m.
Public Holiday:   10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

KölnTag in the Wallraf
on the first Thursday of each month open in the evening till 10 p.m.
(except on Public Holidays)

Closed Mondays,
as well as on Christmas (24. and 25. 12.), New Year (31. 12. and 1. 1.), and from Carnival Thursday to Shrove Monday

Concession:    8 € (per person)
Groups:    10 € (per person for 10 to 25 people)
Schools:    3 € (per pupil)
Families:    24 € (two persons with children)

Free admission
for students up to 18 years and all pupils (incl. two tutors per class)

Family:   30 € (two adults and two children)
(Combined ticket for all Museums of the city of Cologne, valid on two consecutive days plus free ticket for public transport in Cologne on the first day.

The museum lies at the heart of the Old Town, within view of the cathedral, right next to the historical city hall, about five minutes walk from the main station.

Research Project Material Research Project “Let the Material Talk: Technology of Old Cologne painting from the Master of St Veronica to Stefan Lochner (1380–1450)”
To explore the materials and techniques of late-medieval painting in Cologne: this is the aim of a joint project involving the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum & Fondation Corboud, the Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen in Munich, and the latter’s affiliate, the Doerner Institut.

Research Project “Painting Techniques of Impressionism and Postimpressionism”
The Wallraf-Richartz-Museum & Fondation Corboud in Cologne is home to the most extensive collection of Impressionist and Post-impressionist painting in Germany. This unique collection provided the ideal preconditions for the research project "Painting Techniques of Impressionism and Postimpressionism" from 2005 until 2008.
