360° Tour

Explore our collection from the comfort of your home – with our 360° tour!
This tour comprises all the galleries in our museum: The Middle Ages, the Baroque Period, and the 19th Century. Explore our permanent collection, which includes masterpieces by Lochner, Dürer, Rubens, Rembrandt, Manet, and van Gogh.
Selected viewpoints enable a direct approach to individual paintings. Highlights are marked with golden frames and supplemented with short texts, and audio or video tracks. Often hard to make out at first sight, details define an artwork. With the magnifier tool, you can zoom in on details and inspect special, unusual, or unexpected aspects. A click on the gallery texts provides a concise introduction to the subject of the room in question.
Access the floor map on the upper left to get a general overview anytime. A blinking circle shows you your current position within the museum. The map also includes further viewpoints in the rooms of the collection – a click will take you there.
A second important orientation tool can be found at the bottom of the screen: Navigation and zoom symbols enable movement within a room, the double arrows activate changes from room to room, and a click on the little square opens a bar with a display of the rooms of the collection as thumbnails – these functions can be either displayed or hidden. In addition, the information symbol on the upper right summarises all the important points.
We hope we were able to kindle your interest in art with this virtual tour. Pay us a digital visit from any place at any time. In the analogue world, you can find us by the Cologne City Hall (Obermarspforten) from Tuesday to Sunday between 10 am and 6 pm.
Many thanks to our Friends’ Association who generously supported this digital journey and to HHVISION who enabled its implementation.
