about five minutes by foot from the main station.

Unfortunately reservations cannot be made for coach seats. The public, cost-free “Buspark Köln” is located in the Riehl district of Cologne and provides space for 80 buses.

CLOAKROOM

Visitors will find a large cloakroom in the museum foyer together with a large number of lockers for school classes and groups, all cost-free. Please note that handbags, rucksacks and umbrellas must be handed in at the cloakroom, free of charge! 

 

BARRIER FREE ART EXPERIENCE

Access
All public areas in the museum are barrier free. The galleries on all floors can be reached by two elevators. Visits with trained blind or therapy dogs can be arranged with prior   notification

Programme
Tours of both the permanent collection as well as the special exhibitions can be arranged for the partially sighted or dementia affected on prior   notification to Museumsdienst Köln. A restricted number of mobile induction loops are available for people with hearing aids. Guided tours with sign language interpreters and tours in “easy language” can be booked for special target audiences for certain events.

Seating, wheelchairs and prams
The exhibition galleries may be visited with the assistance of wheelchairs and with prams. Light, portable folding stools, wheelchairs and strollers can be lent out on request from the cloakroom. Naturally the attendants will give assistance in unforeseen events.

Toilets
A toilet for the disabled is available in the museum foyer. 

Parking for the Disabled
A number of parking spaces for the disabled are available in the immediate vicinity of the main entrance (Martinstrasse).
