Here you find a range of interesting offers at the Wallraf.

Personal Viewing Service of the Graphic Collection

Like all art on paper, for conservational reasons the holdings of the Graphic Collection at the Wallraf must be kept like "hidden treasures" in cases and cupboards.

In order to grant art lovers the opportunity to enjoy selected works from the Collection in accordance with their personal wishes, the Wallraf also offers a viewing service. Every Tuesday and Wednesday between 10 a.m. and 1p.m. & between 2p.m. and 4 p.m., masterpieces by Rubens, Leonardo & Co will be shown on personal request.

Interested visitors are asked to make an appointment three days in advance:

The curators at the Wallraf offer owners of artworks a cost-free advisory service. Guidance can be given on paintings, drawings and prints from the period up until 1900, as well as on sculptures from the 19th century. Advice is restricted to art historical issues and information on care and conservation. Questions on the market value of art objects cannot be answered.

To receive an appointment, please send a picture of your artwork together with any information you may have (provenance, age, materials, technique, etc.) by post or e-mail to the appropriate curator:

Image Research

The image database www.kulturelles-erbe-koeln.de has set itself the goal of providing online access to the entire art holdings of the municipal museums, thus allowing everyone to research them for free.

A not inconsiderable portion of the works has been available online since January 2013, and this is being augmented at roughly three-week intervals. The database can be used to search all of the institutions, or to focus on one specific museum.
